Mr. Zhao is a senior vice president and portfolio manager in the Hong Kong office, focusing on China and Asia opportunities within PIMCO’s global macro hedge fund strategies. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2019, he was a portfolio manager at Coordinates Capital Management focusing on North Asia. Previously, Mr. Zhao was an executive director with Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, trading greater China macro, and a vice president at JP Morgan in London, trading inflation-linked products. He has 17 years of investment experience and holds a master’s degree in finance from the London Business School and an undergraduate degree in mathematics and economics from the London School of Economics.
