Mr. Aked is director of research, Australia, at Research Affiliates, a subadvisor to PIMCO. He leads research and business strategy in Australia. Previously, he led the asset allocation team at Research Affiliates and continues to perform related research. Prior to joining Research Affiliates, he served as a managing director at the University of Virginia Investment Management Company, working on portfolio and risk management. Earlier in his career, he worked for Sunsuper, an Australian superannuation fund, and at UBS Global Asset Management. He holds a master's degree in financial mathematics from the University of Chicago, a master's degree in statistics from the University of Virginia, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Sydney.
