He designs quant equity models and portfolios that are the foundation of PIMCO’s quant equity strategy. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2015, he was head of equity research at Grupo Security, a Chilean financial conglomerate, where he was responsible for equity valuation and allocation strategies. He has 14 years of investment experience and holds a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley, as well as a master's degree in financial economics and an undergraduate degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
